Pre-Competitive Programs

Level 1 - Starts September 23rd and Runs until December Christmas Break.  Cost $40.00 per month. (3 months)
               Includes:
                         1 hour of Instruction per week.
                         1st Badge (white) in the Canadain Baton Twirling Federation Skills Development Program
                         Baton Twirling Association recreation membership fee ($10.00 annually) this allows you to be covered by insurance and allows you to participate in any BTABC event.
                Athletes will learn basic twirling skills and be introduced to short routines.
                Batons are available $30.00 (new).  We do have some used ones for $20.00 if available.
                Clothing and Hair:  Female: Bodysuit and tights or Dance Pants.  Light colored runners.  Long hair pulled back into Pony tail or Bun.
                                              Male:  Shorts or Dance Pants with Short or no sleeve t-shirt.

Level 2 - Starts January 13th - June 22/08.  Cost $40.00 per month. (6 months)
               Includes:
                         1 hour of instruction per week.
                         1st Badge (white) in the Canadain Baton Twirling Federation Skills Development Program.  (If not achieved in Level 1)
                         Baton Twirling Association recreation membership fee ($10.00) this allows you to be covered by insurance and allows you to participate in any BTABC event
                                      (If athlete did not participate in Level 1)
               Athletes will build on the skills learned in Level 1 and will begin learning pre competitive routines such as:
                                       Basic March
                                       Forward Motion
                                       Pre-Medley
                                       Pre-Solo
                                       Pre-Solo Dance
                                       Possibly Pre-2 Baton and Pre-Group.
                Athletes who continue onto Level 2 are expected to perform the routines at local competitions.  Entry fees for these usually run $15.00 each and these fees are the
                           responsibility of the parent.  As are the cost of any individual costumes.
